BNI stands for Business Networking International. The BNI group meets weekly and has a quarterly newsletter with educational material for networking, public speaking, and business. Periodic workshops on networking are often given by Dr. Ivan Misner, the founder of BNI. BNI will take only one person per professional specialty. The prospective member must be reputable and pass a screening process. Karen has been the Chapter President for the years 2005-2006. She is one of the founding members of the chapter here in the Upland area. By belonging to BNI Karen has been able to substantially increase her referral base from incoming and outgoing referrals of all levels of professional businesses. Referral business is the finest compliment that a business can receive.
The GRI stands for Graduate REALTORĀ® Institute it is a nationally recognized professional real estate designation. The GRI certification is considered the number one real estate designation. The GRI designation is recognized nationwide as the standard for real estate professionalism and knowledge.
CLHMS stands for The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing. CLHMS is a membership organization targeting real estate sales agents who work in the upper-tier residential market around the world. The Institute offers training in luxury home marketing and awards an international designation to agents who meet performance standards in the upper-tier market. CLHMS promotes it's members properties on the website of the Wall Street Journal. The institute also conducts research in the luxury market, that is passed on to its members which keeps them on the cutting edge.
RPS stands for Recreation & Resort. World Wide Recreation & Resort sales council is a degree earned by completing their RRS, RRS1000-Advanced selling techniques for the recreation and resort specialists and RRS1 Marketing Systems & Techniques for the Recreation and Resorts Specialists. These courses will give an agent a view of the time-test ideas and actions that will enable the agent to successfully evaluate a recreational or resort property. Faculty will concentrate on methods to enhance property and establish guidelines for improved communication with their clients. This targeted certification will ensure agents a competitive advantage. It will also give the agent confidence and knowledge to meet the marketing needs of their own clients while increasing their market share.
SRES stands for The Senior Real Estate Specialists and it is awarded by the Senior Advantage Real Estate Council(SRES). By earning the SRES these agents can help seniors make wise decisions about selling the family home, buying rental property, managing the capital gains and estate tax implications of owning real estate, obtaining a reverse mortgage, moving to a senior facility, and other issues. Less than 1% of realtors nationally have qualified for this prestigious and internationally recognized designation.
